ROBOTS 2

  Cubetto

As a future primary education teacher, I think it is better to use Cubetto to make the students learn about instructions, loops, and conditionals.

The teacher would provide a visual or audio on how to move each blocks and what they meant. It could be a song patterned in a famous tune or just visual actions on how the vlocks would make the robot move. However, the teacher shall provide a mystery-like approach on the blue block. They shall not say a word that decribe it other than it could trigger something on the robot. They should also say that it is essential to use such button in the activity.

Once the instructions are already clear to the students, the teacher could instruct them the direction in which they want their students to go. For example, the teacher could instruct the children to go from the proposed starting line to the castle and back to the starting line again using the limted blocks given to them. They should not touch the water drawings, if so, they should redo the tasks. The class would be divided in groups of five and the first group to finish and explain how they did so would get the highest grade.
